Consultative Group on Biodiversity - www.cgbd.org
The Consultative Group on Biological Diversity is a grantmakers forum that seeks to focus attention on issues and program opportunities related to the conservation and restoration of biological resources. Established in 1987, the CGBD is now comprised of 56 foundations and the U.S. Agency for International Development.

Environmental Grantmakers Association - www.ega.org
The Environmental Grantmakers Association is a group of environmental grantmakers concerned about common interests in the natural environment. Today, its members represent over 225 foundations from North America and around the world. The organization’s mission is to help members become more effective environmental grantmakers through information sharing, collaboration and networking. EGA’s vision is one of an informed, diverse, collaborative network of effective grantmakers who are supporting work toward a sustainable world. Recognizing the importance of diverse perspectives, the organization values ecological integrity, justice, environmental stewardship, inclusivity, transparency, accountability and respect, balancing pragmatism with the long view.

Worldwide Initiatives for Grantmaker Support - www.wingsweb.org
WINGS is a global network of more than 140 membership associations and support organisations serving grantmakers, which have joined together to: (a) create opportunities to learn from and support one another, (b) develop modes of communication and collaboration among themselves, and (c) contribute to the strengthening of philanthropy worldwide.

The Foundation Directory Online - www.fconline.foundationcenter.org
An extensive and searchable database complied by the Foundation Center that profiles over 70,000 foundations, corporate givers, and grantmaking public charities, and the lists names of over 285,000 trustees, officers and donors. A separate file of over 150,000 grants is included. See the Foundation Center's website for numerous other funding directories, including "Foundation Grants to Individuals", "The Foundation 1000", and "The National Directory of Corporate Giving."

Established in 1956 and today supported by close to 600 foundations, the Foundation Center is a national nonprofit service organization and a leading authority on organized philanthropy, connecting nonprofits and the grantmakers supporting them to tools they can use and information they can trust. Its audiences include grantseekers, grantmakers, researchers, policymakers, the media, and the general public. The Center maintains the most comprehensive database on U.S. grantmakers and their grants; issues a wide variety of print, electronic, and online information resources; conducts and publishes research on trends in foundation growth, giving, and practice; and offers an array of free and affordable educational programs. 

The Chronicle of Philanthropy - www.philanthropy.com
The Chronicle of Philanthropy is a newspaper of the nonprofit world and is an important news source, in print and online, for charity leaders, fund raisers, grant seekers and grant makers, and other people involved in the philanthropic enterprise.   In print, The Chronicle is published 18 times year. A subscription includes full access to its Web site and news updates by e-mail.  The Web site offers the complete contents of the latest issue, an archive of past issues and articles published since October 1997, and two issues' worth of the most recent grant listings -- all fully searchable. 

Council on Foundations - www.cof.org
The Council on Foundations is a national nonprofit association of approximately 2,000 grantmaking foundations and corporations. It is a membership organization that supports grantmakers in various aspects of foundation management. The Council does not provide services to those seeking grants.

Association of Small Foundations - www.smallfoundations.org
The Association of Small Foundations (ASF) is a membership organization of more than 3,000 foundations and the country's largest foundation-support organization. 

Terra Viva Grants Directory - www.terravivagrants.org
The Terra Viva Grants Directory is an online source that develops and manages information about grants for agriculture, energy, environment, and natural resources in developing countries.  It offers profiles of over 400 grant makers, with regional coverage for the developing world and provides funding information with application deadlines, and news about new and changed grant programs.
